10 Things To Do BESIDES Book Travel

I’ve been chatting with so many of my travel advisor friends over the past couple of weeks as we all try to navigate as best we can this new season we are in that has so much uncertainty -- specifically for our industry.

The other day I mentioned in a caption on Instagram that being a Travel Advisor feels like having a $2 bill in your wallet. It’s cool -- but you aren’t sure what exactly you are supposed to do with it.

The truth of the matter is, most of us are not booking much travel right now.  From a financial standpoint it’s difficult and I know we all feel the stress of that. However, the silver lining is that we have the ability to do some deep and meaningful work on our business that will help us immensely once things pick back up.

I created a list of 10 ideas that I have been focusing on myself and wanted to share that list with you in case you could use some inspiration!

  1. Update your systems + workflow

  2. Create a new opt in

  3. Write your sales funnel

  4. Create a social media strategy

  5. Update your website + branding

  6. Write out email templates

  7. Deep dive into a destination you want to know better

  8. Update your copy on your services page

  9. Write content (blogs/newsletters)

  10. Rest

The most important on the entire list? Number 10. Give yourself a ton of grace in this season, and know that you don’t have to be the most productive advisor on the planet. It’s ok to simply just be.
